A collaborative puppet project with London based artists, Marla Botterill and Conan Masterson.

Marla Botterill and Conan Masterson are interested in constructions of fictions through the use of puppets. Familiar objects are mutated, manipulated and altered to transform them into otherworldly creatures. The videos record spontaneous performances of the puppets interacting with one another and their surroundings. The results are simple, mundane scenarios ending humourously. These puppet creatures provide a gateway for a willing suspension of disbelief. Both artists explore this twisting of reality in their individual and collaborative work and have been exploring techniques on how to fabricate the fictional.

The puppets were created during a month long artist residency at Fresh Milk in Barbados.
